以下截取简历部分来自 DiySmart B 类服务客户独立文书内容。该简历样本用于陈述中国 DIY 申请者在简历制作中常见误区。

评论： 一份整齐、简洁的Resume不但能有效推销推荐人的背景优势也反映了推荐人对基本商务、学术交流礼仪的了解。相反，一份冗长并带有画蛇添足成分的简历反映申请人不够成熟和不尊重传统申请惯例。从简历的头部我们就可以看出推荐人并不很了解申请简历制作规范。首先，Curriculum VITA、Resume、CV等标题是没必要的，因为读者不可能把你的简历误认为是其他文件。在简历上写上不必要或者过于明显的内容代表申请不懂得节省简历空间，是幼稚的表现。“Date of Birth, Gender，Domicile”都是多余的，因为这些都不是录取官需要用于评估申请人资格的内容。除非是申请艺术、影视类专业，照片更加是白送的。Degree属于教育背景，放在地址、姓名栏目也不适合。而且申请人这种摆放方式太浪费空间。

评论： “HIGHLIGHT” 是常见的简历内容。但申请人必须真能提供一些值得“highlight”的内容。在该部分提供一些典型、常见的背景优势内容会马上导致录取官认定申请人只是一名普通申请者。因为他们大概会认为：“既然加亮部分的背景就是如此，那么我也没必要看其他了”。

评论： 申请人在Education部分有以下失误：1. GPA表达未能符合美国方面惯例；2. 双学位问题解释不清；两年拿一个学位的问题让美国录取官费解；3. 两个专业就GPA表达方面不一致；其中一个有Major GPA而另外一个没有让人觉得不规范。在本科学习过程中拿双专业或者双学位的申请者有必要跟录取官简单交代课程特色，因为外校人不一定都能明白申请人学校内部的安排。

评论： 如果在”EXPERIENCE” 部分，申请人只能泛泛而谈具体去了哪里或者得到了什么，那么这些经历最好是知名或者最起码是美国录取官能明白内容，否则这样描写活动经历不可能有积极作用。录取官主要希望从活动经历中了解申请人的素质与能力水平。他们没有义务去调查或者进一步了解申请人提供的名堂。

评论： 从内行人的角度看，申请人在BOC的经历有作假之嫌。理由是：1. 申请人未能交代具体部门；2..为何银行要花钱请人去“research on financial theories”3. 申请人具体职能和部门所属模糊不清。另外，工作经历部分同样需要包装。申请人不应该只告知录取官其工作内容，而是应该告知录取官其工作的技术含量和意义。究竟用了什么研究方法，有什么结果，这些结果对整个团队有什么意义，这些都是申请人应该添加的内容。这些内容不但能点缀申请人的工作背景也能个性化申请人在录取官心目中形象。
